Winter Hiking

"If you can walk, you can go snowshoeing"

Snowshoeing is a simple and funny way to experience the quiet and serenity of snow-covered mountains trails and landscapes.

There is no need of any particular skill or learning courses, you just start walking and having fun 'floating' on the snow.

It is a cheap way to get the whole family together having fun. No need for technical boots, clothes and skilift-tickets.

The Appennin mountain range in Basilicata offers a variety of trails with gentle slopes and steep climbs, reaching more than 2000 m abovethe sea level.

We offer a wide range of snowshoeing experiences, starting with a simple healthy few hours walk on the snow-covered trails of Mount Pierfaone, Mount Arioso and Timpa d'Albano reaching the Maddalena area in the nearest of Potenza, or night walks in the enchanting winter atmosphere of old growth beech forests.

Winter hikes also include challenging one or more day long backpack trips in the wilderness of the Pollino National Park.
